deadlists says "The Doin' That Rag through High Time sequence often circulates labeled AUD but is probably SBD with very bad levels." To me it sounds like it's definitely an AUD....

In and out of FLUSHING MEADOW PARK, He goes..
Note: Just pick it up at Dark Star as we stop the alien invaders.
All will continue blissfully forward to Bethel N.Y. 8-15-69.
I linked the site of this Flushing show to wikipedia. (see 7/11/69)
Because this is certainly a fantasy type place for a gig.
The acoustics had to be terrible because it was a huge circle with high walls surrounding it with a marble like floor that I believe would have caused much of the sound to travel directly upward.
Still this would have been a very chill place for the band pretty far from the Sidewalks of New York but close to the 7 train for Heads.
(Not far from the home of the Amazing Miracle Mets.)
The Dead would play the Colden Center in 1970 which would represent the biggest formal gig they would play in Queens.
also not geographically far from Flushing Meadow Park.
The reason this was called the N.Y. State pavilion was because the entire State was before you as you walked on this gigantic map of N.Y. broken down by counties and N.Y.C consisting of the five boroughs. Even after many years of disrepair and abuse it was still a novelty and offbeat attraction until the Parks Department finally condemned it and completely fenced the area off.
p.s. The Lovelight is a wild free for all.

You ain't gonna learn what you don't want to know
This archive is 2 different shows. The Dead came on after The Tribe a rock band that featured Sax. The Dead came 2nd. There was no Soundboard recording made. Only 2 audience recordings exist.
After High-Time the Dead performed a 30 minute Dartk Star or better with Pigpen taking most of the lead. They jammed into The Other One with NO Vocals and, ubruptly stopped. Garcia gave a not of satisfaction and the show was over. Joe Cocker headlined.
This Dark Star was very, trip induced and it's a shame
it cannot be found now.
I swear by God! Because I was actually at the shows.

Amazing What our Memory Can Do
Ummm - I'm short on time so.... this was my 1st Show.
The Dead were Headliners.
Joe Cocker & Grease Band were second on the bill. Grease Band opened up w two instrumentals then Cocker came out.
1st song he sang: She Came In Through the Bathroom Window; this was before the Beatles released Abbey Road.
Garcia was on pedal steel for the first 2 tunes starting with Green Green Grass of Home.
This may be the closest to an accurate setlist I've seen.
I've still got the newspaper ad for the show.
When I've got more time I'll scan and download it.

Get the second disc.
Granted, the first disc (first 7 songs) is poor quality/distorted audio audience recording and can be bypassed. It's unfortunate because the performance sounds great.
The second disc from Dark Star on (last 5 songs)is actually less hissy than the previous night, July 11th, 1969.
The audio does have some tape issues.
1 star for the first disc audio. 5 stars for the second disc audio.
Eat, drink, be merry and listen to the GRATEFUL DEAD.
Thanks for the love.

Turn On Your Lovelight
Don't pass on this show without giving the Lovelight a listen, it's tremendous! A really funny version with Bobby doing "man on the street" interviews, the "speak into the microphone" segment with crazy people singing and saying "lets go get high" and Pigpen trying to get Mickey to sing!! This version is truly weird and it sounds like they were having a ball at this show. They also sound really highhh!
The Eleven is also awesome on this show. There are sound quality issues here but at least give The Eleven>Lovelight a listen.

Second disc is worth a downoad
Granted, the sound quality of the first disc is awful, the second disc, from "Dark Star" on is as good as the previous day's tape. The show from the 11th along with the second disc make a nice 3 disc set. It sounds like there is an acoustic guitar played on the beginning of Dark Star. First disc gets a one star, second disc is at least a 3.5 or 4, for the time.

Completists only
The sound on this one is a little rough. I can't speak for the band's performance since I didn't have the patience to listen to it at this quality. For completists only...
