Outstanding aud recording. Great first set. All songs are well played w/ a brisk feel to each. Sugaree, Mexicali>Cumberland, and Masterpiece are wonderful versions no matter what year you are comparing these songs to. Scarlet>Fire is arguably the best version played since and after Brent passed away. Set 2 from start to finish is an epic, Estimated jam is a real treat. Other One suite weaves through the latter part of the set like a snake in a psychedelic swamp. Vince and Bobby are mixed in far better than the previous nights SBD copies. Vince seems like an asset to the Band in this early stage versus a lil' further on down the road when his keyboards and voice would seem to drown out the rest of the Band's sound. The more confident Vince became, the less I could listen to this band then and now. That comment aside, this is nothing but a great show...

I really like this one. It's a great recording, and the playing ranges from solidly good to smoking hot. All the highlights other reviewers cite are there, and the Mighty Quinn is about the rockin'est one I know of. This was a happy, upbeat, energetic show. Things went into decline soon enough, but the good times were definitely still at hand here.

Super performance. This is about as good as it gets from '91 on. I like me a good smokin Cumbys and this one doesn't dissapoint. As another said earlier - yeah, the Masterpiece does actually crank the show up instead of down a notch. Nice 2nd set drums/jam. Even the often leaden A&A is lively and enjoyable.

Every time I hear a show that you've been involved in the taping, transferring, mixing, whatever, it's always great!!! Thanks for your wonderful efforts. This show Rocks!! At this point I've only listened to a handful of '91 shows but, what a really great year it was for the Band. This show has some great songs and energy -- well worth a listen. Good creativity in the second set b/t Drums, Jam, Other One Teases, etc. Enjoy.

Thiis is a spectacular show. Masterpiece really gets it going. Bobby starts it off playing in too high of a key. A few lyrics in they stop the song dead. Who else could/would stop a song in a live show, and restart it. Only the Grateful Dead could and get away with it. It brings out some incredible energy, and lasts thru the end of the show. Second set carried the energy thru.
Sound is nice on this one.

No Hornsby on this one, but Jerry fills the gap admirably with some truly inspired playing. This show also features solid ensemble work throughout, with a spectacular Scarlet/Fire and meatier-than-usual sound. Highly recommended.

Thanks for putting this one up Charlie... Great job on the sound... This show starts off with a ripping Bucket into a sweet Sugaree... Jerry does not miss a lick in the Sugaree. Same with the Bird Song... As good as it gets its in the 80's... i mean 90's... It sure as hell sounded like an 80's show minus Brent... Who is that new guy anyway?? Thank got it's not a long long long long way to go home.... Second Set review coming soon...
