Ain't It Crazy (The Rub)
Great fun Pigpen song
3
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Another killer version, even with the cut in the tape this one never ceased to please!!!
7
Me and My Uncle
As clear and pure an example of MAMU you'll ever here.
3
Cumberland Blues
Toe-tappin' and up-tempo with great vocals - Phil sounds amazing on the out chorus. Fun stuff!
7
Wharf Rat
Soaring jam flirts with tipping into the outer void. Wild beauty with Pig on B3 gives it something extra.
7
The Other One
Moves between super-charged hard rocker and an open-spaced delicate beauty. Marred by a cut, so how far did it really go? Anyone have the complete?
12
Caution
Surprised it isn't here yet. Only one in '71 and it intensely musical and weirdly experimental. Crashes into a short feedback/tuning then a sweet UJB.
6
Truckin'
Not super long but very tight and intense
4
Greatest Story Ever Told
Different basic riff throughout...i like it.
4
Not Fade Away
Excellent NFA>GDTRFB as expected for 71. Cool outros for both.
5
Sugar Magnolia
Nice rockin' 1971 version.
6
Bertha
Not nearly enough love for this show.
3
Me and Bobby McGee
Absolutely beautiful version. Amazed its been overlooked!
4
Johnny B. Goode
Excellent mid second set choice.
4
Loser
Love ‘71 Losers
2
Casey Jones
Very surprised this tasty selection from the "30 Trips" 1971 show is not here yet. Great start to a great show.
4
Uncle John's Band
Long before "Let Phil Sing"
2
Big Boss Man
Pig's harmonica playing and singing is great, and the rest of the band sounds just as good.
1
Drums
Early 1 drummer solo
1
Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad
Right before a fantastic caution
1
Feedback
Shortly after caution
