There are many comments about the performance and so forth already. I just want to congratulate whoever decided to track this by leaving the couplets together. I'd come to the conclusion that I was the only one that liked to hear Scaret>Fire, Lazy>Sup, Whatever>Space/Drums as one track. Thank you!

First off we're treated with a crystal clear aud from the man himself Barry Glassberg. From there we have a hot Alabama Getaway>Promised Land that has terrific energy. Peggy-O is lovely and stately and the Loser is stunning in its dynamic and restraint. Rest of the first set is very strong.
Set 2 starts with a raging scarlet. The peak is through the roof! Fire is like a trudging brontosaurus with Phil's bass bombs equaling the beast's steps. Estimated> drums is inspired as is the black Peter.
Please folks, ignore the derogatory comments from people who barely listened to the show and decide yourself. I used to use the comment section on archive as a guide to pick shows and now realize its a dead end. Unless its Venetta or Cornell 77, you're going to get some dumb comment on the band going down hill after 72 or whatever. Again, decide for yourself but there's treasure throughout their career. In the strangest of places if you look at it right.

-Everything goes well until Sailor and Saint. As if Jerry forgets his parts. Bobby holds steady but it's pretty rough
-They restart with Scarlet and all is as it should be and the wind up to the Fire transition is stellar.
-Estimated gets a little lost at the end but thankfully Jerry builds an escape to Eyes and we are at cruising altitude once again.

My first birthday and I couldn't have foretold IT any better.
I can appreciate Scarlett Begonia's and Fire on the Mountain.
Also Alabama Getaway.
Just for the sake of possibly getting the chance to use arguing again, that man's past habit's along with mine for that matter are nobody's buisness.
Mr.Bill and Capt.Doubledose that was a nice way of explaining how you meant what you said.
I've got less personal in the last few years.

This show is strong front to back, and this AUD is decent enough to capture the energy of the show, although I prefer the SBD.
Killer Scarlet>Fire here, and the Estimated>Eyes is nice with a really sweet post eyes jam.

I thought it was amazing at the time. Now I am hearing it for the second time 27 years later and it is hard to evaluate after 100+ shows and so many years. Typical AUD sound for the era though...

I'm pretty sure I saw this show. It was the show where John Belushi showed up on stage during the encore, singing backup on US Blues. I'm not crazy about the Go to Heaven period -- there was too much of Bob singing and Brent's synth sounded like a little toy piano. My guess is that this is when Jerry's heroin use began to accelerate. But this concert wasn't bad and John Belushi deserves a star.
A couple of comments in response to other reviews. Capitol was indeed a small place. Tickets were available only through mail order lottery (and scalpers). Reason I brought up Jerry's h-habit was not to be critical. It was really more in sadness than anything else. He was so f**king great and sadly, I can hear the decline in his music over the years.

While the sound quality is good, the show is marginal at best. First set jitters(too much blow?)with blown lyrics right off the bat in Alabama and Promised Land. Worst and shortest T. Jed ever with Jerry truncating(brain fart?) the jam section (right in the middle) to finish the song(what in the world was he thinking?). St. Of Circumstance is cut at the end as well. I wish guys would just review the show's sound quality and any glitches to note without adding personal exploits - I could care less about that crap and it would've saved me from wasting my time downloading this show.

Word had gotten around he was on stage for this which was really tough to get tickets for not like Radio City 6 months hence. This was a small 1500 seat place and they loved it John Scher owned it I think...
Open with Alabama the crowd is insane, great promised Phil is thumping away, check out Jerry on loser and most unforgettably on Scarlet+++, he does make alot of mistakes as does Bob with some flubbed lyrics but they are on fire in this. Height of the Arista sound. Think this was one of the first Scarlet>Fire>Estimated>Eyes... I know Salt Palace '81, Rutgers....
