Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower
Sept. 2, 1983
Boise Pavilion - Boise State University

This Slipknot jam is a MONSTER (go directly to jam). Listen to Phil and Jerry communicate and battle. Results in new heights previously unheard of!

This is THE KILLER BEW! High energy, INSANE Jerry licks in solo, blazes into Jerry screaming "Delilah Jones was the mother of twins!"

How this is not considered the best Loser I'll never know. Absolutely insane Jerry solo ending with an EXPLOSION into "Last fair deal..."

Perfect pace and groove. Super hot ending jam starting by blasting the main lick full band full force. Awesome Jerry licks to complete.

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Feb. 5, 1978
Uni Dome, U of Northern Iowa

I'm making this my #2 to Cornell. The jam between Scarlet and Fire is what makes it. I know, I know, that can be said about almost off them, but this one is truly special. Some unreal moments in there where everything is coming together such that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. 2nd Fire jam (post Jerry theme) is super hot, too. Get Dick's 18, even if you're only going to listen to the Scarlet Fire.
Morning Dew
May 8, 1977
Barton Hall - Cornell University

Hey Stallion, if you think the Morning Dew from this show was the highlight, you should go back and take another listen. Find on the track list "Scarlet Begonias". Start there, but wait! It's not over - it goes into Fire on the Mountain (like, they don't stop between songs). I know, crazy, right?
Loser
April 28, 1971
Fillmore East

This is the Classic Loser, for sure. Loser 101, played straight up. This one should be listened to first before moving on to other Losers. That being said, if you want a Loser that EXPLODES, go to 12/14/80.
Morning Dew

The fact that this Dew (which is THE Dew) is all the way down here is horrifying. If it's not #1, it should at least be in the Top 5.... no, forget that, it should be #1.
