am I crazy here? I'm listening to DP12 and the MLB isn't even the same recording as the prior CCS, and the transition to IKYR is terrible also (not the playing, which is excellent of course, I just mean the spliced recordings between "tracks" -- are they even the same show?!). for the record, the MLB Jam labeled here is NOT the Feelin' Groovy jam that the Dead did during Dark Star 68-70, then later on ChinaRider 73-74 (they dance around it a bit at the 9-11 min mark, but not the full, "4 descending chords" you hear in other versions...). Listen to any of the other 1974 CCS>IKYR's, typically about 6-9 minutes in, for the amazing Feelin' Groovy jam. or for an earlier version go Sept 19th '70 on Dark Star at 15:50. and just so we're clear, the very best China>Rider ever was Sept. 11, 1973. Goddammit Agnes, someone is WRONG ON THE INTERNET!

my #2, edged out by William & Mary 9/11/73, which has to my ears the absolute best laid back jamming feelin' groovy transition of them all - i've heard them all and that one is different, just incredible. but this CCS and the show in general is excellent, great choice.

yes indeed! this and the PNE Coliseum May 17 1974 version are the absolute best. 73 and 74 featured that super laid back trippy awesome feelin' groovy jam in between, and no better example than this show right here. excellent choice.
