Terrapin Station
The mid jam section of this Terrapin is absolutely breathtaking. Jerry's playing is so emotive and deliberate. Really beautiful
17
Shakedown Street
In my opinion, '79 Shakedown's are a perpetual smoke show. This is no different. Get weird
9
High Time
Wonderful emotional gorgeous
7
Lost Sailor -> Saint of Circumstance
Nice early new agey masterpiece
4
Candyman
kick ass version
8
Samson and Delilah
Talk about overlooked! This Samson is a hard charging smoke show!
4
Black Peter
Slow, haunting, and dramatic. Comes slithering out of Space like a wafting plume of smoke.
4
I Need A Miracle
The menacing transition out of Black Peter is only matched by Bobby attacking the mic like a rabid dog. The post-drums/space of this show is killer.
5
Bertha
I always liked the late-second-set placement of Bertha in the early Brent era. This one smokes - Brent's keys are fiery and Jerry destroys the solo.
3
Deal
Loads of fun! Like versions from '79, it's an interesting hybrid version - the energy of 80's versions but minus the second solo. Still kicks, though!
4
Alabama Getaway
From Dave's 47, supercharged high energy first set opener with Brent's fingers on fire!
1
Brown Eyed Women
Not long, not crazy, just perfect <3
3
Don't Ease Me In
Don't sleep on this one. Brent's sweeping fluorishes permeate + a nice epic coda. Overlooked tune from a sleeper show now w/more looks due to DaP#47
1
New Minglewood Blues
Trashy dirty version that sounds like they’re walking through a bog
2
Easy To Love You
Baby Brent sounds sweet. Nothing fancy but a solid early one
1
Drums -> Space
Insanity! Space lasers, Phil Bombs and Unbroken Chain-ish noises
2
Promised Land
Charged up with energy coming out of the hot Alabama opener. They really go after this one, and makes it stand out. Great stuff!
1
Good Lovin'
Closes a fantastic post-drums-space sequence. Just an all-around good one that benefits from the incredible momentum beforehand.
1
Row Jimmy
A particularly nice early years Brent version from winter 1979 tour. Jerry's guitar gently weeps wonderfully throughout. Latest pick from Dave~47
