Drums -> Space
Sept. 10, 1991
Madison Square Garden

Menacing sampling section, gorgeous beam. Mickey always brought it and these passages has masterly narrative. If the dose hasn't kicked in, the space>DS>space will set the scene. Drenched in scary effects evoking bottomless seas of anarchic synth manic egos clawing at the walls of the mind. Everyone refracting each other's outbursts with tempered musical interior brilliance so as to pinwheel without being spun out. eventually the jazz cat boys start interpolating something and jerry responds with screaming virtuosic distorted runs which only makes weir intensify his anxious funk harder. First rate version. Final four minutes are tonal, resplendent, and suggest stella or china doll
