How in this magic week did this powerhouse version with perfect vocals not yet get voted up? Give a spin, you aren't going to regret it.

Perfection. They could do no wrong this week, and this FOTD is no exception. Perfection.

Tight ensemble playing with perfect sound. This is one of the great shows of the year.

Already listed as the CC>IKYR, but this jam stands on its own. One of the tightest from start to finish.

Brilliant outro and high-energy version, a bit more up-tempo than others from the time. All-round sweet show, overshadowed by other giants of Aug. '72

The whole vibe is one of transcendent wave-like peaks upon peaks. Everyone does seem, as John_B suggests, to be climaxing at once.

Go with the Usborne Matrix over the link here, in my humble opinion.

Love this one. Thanks for the reminder. The whole entry period for Keith is brilliant, but this does have a special oomph as it builds to the end. Listening to Bobby's accompaniment to on-fire Keith is so fun. You've already voted for some of my most-loved sleepers, (April 15, '70, Oct. 22 "Surf-punk" '67), but check out the Mahalo spirit on January 24. I'll keep you in mind if I uncover some under-rated gem. This and Bertha were always my favorite openers.

Maybe the funniest banter ever for Bay Area residents. Bobby: "Next couple of years If don't have nothing better to do you might vote for me for mayor." Jerry: "Of Freemont".
