Bird Song
July 18, 1972
Rossevelt Stadium

A solid Bird Song, from an underrated 72 show..you wouldnt think it existed if you looked at these listings-needs way more love, esp. since theres a crisp sounding matrix available on here..Get on it!
Dark Star
Feb. 13, 1970
Fillmore East

I recently snagged this show and, boy,am i glad i did..This Dark Star is extremely delicate and beautifully played.it goes into deep space without the unneccesary noisy feedback parts that turn me off some versions..Obviously if i was present and dosed at those shows id have a different opinion but as a listener i appreciate the fluidity and beauty of this quintessential version.Equals Veneta and surpasses it in some respects considering its part of a monster DS>O1>Lovelight sequence.
Loser

Winterland Arena

Class A Loser from a Class A show..everything about this show is spot on..its an easy equal or better than Cornell depending on my mood.Donna Jean sounds great here too.
Sugar Magnolia
April 9, 1970
Fillmore West

I can hear a slight similarity in the guitar lick but i reckon the arrangement was already in the bag by then, the other American Beauty songs were in rotation by this time.
