Not much to add except Donna Jean sounds great in 77,her contributions are too often overlooked or unappreciated. She and Bobby, especially sound beautiful together but she also blends well with Jerrys more youthful sounding vocals.

Cant choose between this one or the December show which (show)i like best..The boys played two mean shows at Nashville in 78 and i can certainly tell they brought their A game and i reckon its cause theyre in Nashville, heart of the C+W scene...Go Dead!

Ive been listening to a few 72 and 74 shows and it shows how this song developed and matured as the years passed..By 1978 what was a 6minute ballad had grown into a 15-20minute suite containing great Keith piano solos like the JGB versions and Garcia going solo-mad,i love looking at set lists and seeing Sugaree there with a 15plus minute run time.I know longer doesnt mean better but in these cases....it does.

Donnas on,the whole show-beautiful..Her vox sound well with Jerry and Bobby this entire evening, she sounded great in 77/78
