Jerry and Vince are rockin' out!!! The energy carries over to The Promised Land set closer. Wow!!!
Mexicali Blues
Sept. 9, 1991
MSG

I'm on the fence with this one. The intro is pretty bad, but during the song there is some really nice piano work by Bruce - as if that should surprise anyone. The problem here is that there are a lot of sounds - horns, accordion, piano, guitar, keyboards - and at times they clash and it's not a pleasant sound. Take a listen and judge for yourself.

This might have the longest instrumental jam within the vocals ever. Here we have seven improvisational musicians playing and blending well together, with nobody taking the song off. The entire Boston 1991 run is worth listening to and I'm surprised by the lack of appreciation for it.

Everybody in the band seems to be enjoying themselves. So should you!!!
Day Job

The Spectrum

Who loves Day Job? Philly does!!! On this audience recording you can hear the crowd sing along. Who doesn't want to hear the Dead rock out to a fist-pumping encore? If you hate Day Job, you must be a communist. Or at least a socialist.
