Perfect execution, akin to the Europe '72 version in terms of precision, Kreutzzman is all over the kit. Fiery Garcia licks reaching incredible peaks

Oh my, the band interplay is absolutely top notch and so mature. Ultimate boogie-gusto, Jerry givin' his all and singin' with soul. Great shit.

This blew my mind at the movies, the vocal jam at the end was insane on the big screen

Upon my furthur review, this stands as my favorite dark star, certainly top 3 in their whole career. This dark star stood out to me for its gorgeously layered melodic passages and ethereal qualities. This is a Dark Star where you sit outside at night and watch the stars with headphones. This also got me thinking about a project I would be interested in doing... A catalogue of Garcia's "whale calls", of which I find to be incredibly transcendent, and they blow my mind. I've heard him do the "whale calls" in other dark stars, but I can't remember individual dates, so that'll be fun, listening to all the great dark stars and seeking out the unique guitar effect. This dark star is a transcendent piece of music. I seldom like to say best, because dark star has many different moods and shapes.. But this is among the top 3. No question. Definitive for me.

Multi-thematic odyssey that echoes the ever peaceful chaos, that happens to be the universe. It rips a hole right through galaxies. It's that good. Unique version, drums section is really great with Bill channeling his inner Elvin Jones. Very interesting Jerry stuff. This one is a no-bullshit dark star. Great jazzy interludes and licks from Garcia.

A forgotten Dark Star is right. This is ridiculous. Jazzy and insanely melodic, everyone is on.

Not for the faint of heart. Psychedelic infused modal jazz soundscapes that blow you to fucking pieces as it ebbs and flows.. Unreal. Ending jam resembles a blissful, yet melancholic mood, and is incredibly unique and perfectly executed... Best of Europe '72. Sixteen track recording ensures it pristine audio quality on the release.
