The last of a whopping 73 plays in 1972, and a nice one to finish with...

Perhaps not surprisingly, you can really hear the '73 sound starting to emerge here (and elsewhere in the show)...

Good start to a very overlooked show. This was their most common opener in '72, kicking off 32 shows, this being the last of them (opens S2 on NYE).

Good version sandwiched between HCS and the big jam suite...

Seems like this show needs more love around here...a few high vote-getters, but the whole thing rocks

This one feels very earthy to me. I was picturing myself being on a camping trip, wandering off into the woods alone at dusk as the song begins. I got lost in the woods when it suddenly turns dark after the Feelin' Groovy bit, then continued to both appreciate and be spooked by the woods for the remainder of the song. Then, at the transition into Sugar Mags, I stumbled upon my friends waiting for me around the campfire. Billy's use of the toms starting around the 22:00 mark lends it a bit of a tribal feel as well. If most Stars are an acid trip, I guess this one is more of a shrooms trip lol.

I dig the slower tempo. If nothing else, it re-captures your attention for a song that can sometimes sort of float by unnoticed, at least for me...

This is a punchy one!

Yes, elegant indeed. Perfect way to kick off this snack-sized great show.

Jerry's really ripping this one!
