Phil and Bill sound like a runaway box car in an Appalachian mine! Heady interplay during the solos.

Cool chording from Bobby and a very restless Phil during the verses, then Billy and Keith fire off the jack hammer at the end of Jerry's lyrical solo.

This one is pretty unique for a song that didn't change much night to night...

Excellent version highlighted by a very jittery Billy with lots of ghost notes on the snare! Slightly botched ending, but otherwise great...

Billy really steals the show on this one...tosses in a variety of grooves, all to great success.

Is it just me, or does that bluesy jam at the very end sound like a precursor to "Blues For Allah" (the title track)?

Perhaps the best version. Great, underrated show despite having been officially released for a few years now...

^I'm glad you mentioned 2/13/70, Blue_Roses, as I think this show is one of the few others that has those immaculate vibes, that effortless, music-plays-the-band inertia. Likely no coincidence that like 2/13, they were allegedly tripping a little harder than usual here. There's hardly any banter between songs compared to other shows on this tour, which would usually be a minus for me, but in this case it functions to not "break the fourth wall" — I find this show has a cinematic quality to it. I also think you could argue that it's a bit like a 1970 show played in '72. Apart from PITB, the first set is decidedly not trippy, but rather like an acoustic set played electric almost...
