Playin' In The Band
May 11, 1972
Rotterdam Civic Hall

I ranked this fourth of the tour last year, but I now realize that was a mistake. I'd put it ahead of Bickershaw for third at least (had Paris first and Frankfurt second). Goes very far out and covers some crazy terrain, yet stays every bit as refined as the gorgeous venue it was performed in...A++

Fantastic 15-min pre-verse...on pace to be one of the best before it gives way to Drums and TOO after just 19:50

One of the most sophisticated versions ever...somehow jazzy and out there, yet still totally Good Lovin'
Playin' In The Band

One of the most gracefully intense jams I've heard...criminally underrated.
