U.S. Blues (Wave That Flag)

McArthur Court, U of Oregon

Smokin' encore. You know the playing was hot when even this is a scorcher.

Samson and Delilah

Smokin little number boosts the second set.

New Minglewood Blues

Bobby seems on this whole night, and Jerry's tone is unreal.

Surprised not to find this here.

One of the first Dead songs I ever heard way back in the day. Kicks off a raging Set II.

I agree– not usually my jam, but I quite liked this version!

Which guitar is JG playing? I didn't think Tiger debuted until later this year, so is he playing Wolf?

Agree that this song changed by era, so it's hard to pick a definitive one, but also agree (insist!) that this is a must hear. Vocal issues usually turn me off, but Garcia is *ON* all night, and it comes through here in a big way.

This one has the extra verse ("couple shots of whiskey..."), some crowd sing-along that comes through nicely on the AUD, and I’m a complete sucker for Jerry noodling before songs.

For completists, the “M&MU > Big River” that precedes this is decent, but I personally didn't hear anything particularly special. Jerry’s playing in “River” is nice, and you can tell he's having a good night, and Keith doesn't get in the way too much.
