Not Fade Away
April 3, 1970
Field House, U. of Cincinnati
Short, hot, right into a killer "Lovelight"

Candyman
April 3, 1970
Field House, U. of Cincinnati
Premiere version from the middle/acoustic set. Audible buzz on the SBD, but worth the historic interest and for Jerry's wordless penultimate verse.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
April 3, 1970
Field House, U. of Cincinnati
Jerry stumbles a bit during the transition, but a powerful early version.

Stella Blue
Sept. 11, 1982
West Palm Beach Auditorium
Highlight from the end of the show.
7
Truckin'
Sept. 11, 1982
West Palm Beach Auditorium
Kicks back into the cowboy vibe from earlier in the show, leads into a stellar "Stella."

New Minglewood Blues

Boston Garden
There's a reason they opened the next night with this tune
Deal

very solid extended choruses from Garcia. Keith and drummers keep ending vocals from dragging or seeming repetitive.
Cassidy

Boston Garden
every version from this tour is too short and fast for my preference, but Garcia and Keith interactions give this a boost. Nice ending jam as well.
Bertha

Boston Garden
Surprised to find this so far down the list. Soaring Garcia leads, fully present Keith.
St. Stephen
May 5, 1977
New Haven Coliseum
Also wanted to bitch about the "Sugar Magnolia" without posting it. Heavy and plodding, not even the song itself is performed well. Wtf happens here? Decent Garcia lead helps keep this from being a total wash, but might be one of the worst performances of anything I've heard from this month.
