The Wheel

Very nice '83-version coming out of Space, which features an interesting jam into Playin' reprise. Bonus track on DaP 39.

Gotta love a Stranger with that crispy ‘87 sound!

El Paso

Adams Field House, U of Montana

Okay, so it's El Paso, but it sounds like Keith enjoyed the Big Sky 'cause this dude is ON throughout this show

Big River

Roosevelt Stadium

Strange to not see this already on here. The boys are on (as they are throughout this legendary show). And listen to Billy!

New Minglewood Blues
July 8, 1978
Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Underrated and, indeed, highly energetic Minglewood from this well-known show!
Mississippi Halfstep Uptown Toodeloo
May 14, 1978
Providence Civic Center

Fantastic version! Bobby and Keith really complements Jerry’s soloing, while the others holds the groove down nicely.
Playin' In The Band
Nov. 15, 1972
Oklahoma City Music Hall

This Playin' is so mesmerizingly good that the thirty minutes feels like ten. Grateful Dead at their finest.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Nov. 17, 1972
Century II Convention Hall

Agreed, darkstar67, this is certainly one of the really great late '72 shows. I've listened quite a lot to this period lately, and it's interesting to hear how the exploratory jazz aspects associated with '73 and '74 are starting to truly emerge - such as in The Other One from this show or the Playin' from 11/15.
Uncle John's Band

Century II Convention Hall

Compared to the number of votes on those rated above it, this wonderful UJB still needs more!
