Avalon Ballroom

It's a bit uneven vocally, musically it's slow and sultry.

A ripping opener, Pigpen is all in, wonderful show, good quality tape but some unfortunate cuts.

You know the drill by now; DS > SS > 11 > LL; gotta catch 'em all

Morning Dew

The Ark

So, not only is this a wonderful Dew, the Jerry banter after this and before beginning a transcendent Cryptical Suite is a hoot as well.

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
March 22, 1990
Copps Coliseum

Opinions over whether a '90 Scarlet>Fire should be in the same conversation with all of the '77s aside; don't you feel like all those '77s sound a little bit the same? I love how different this one is. And it flat out rocks. Gets my upvote today.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
May 25, 1977
The Mosque

This version is about 30 seconds of Donna's wailing away from being absolutely perfect. (And I don't even mind the "ooh aah"ing... but the screeching...)
Not Fade Away
Dec. 19, 1978
State Fairgrounds Coliseum

Truly an NFA unlike any other. Beauty.
Stella Blue
Dec. 19, 1978
State Fairgrounds Coliseum

Come for the O1, stay for NFA. This Stella is epic.
Not Fade Away
Jan. 22, 1978
McArthur Court, U of Oregon

There is now a great Matrix for this show; the entire second set is off the hook.
