The remedy for the late 70's disco versions. It seems the unlikely song to feature some pretty intense psych, but Jerry really goes bonkers there at the end with some nasty shredding. Glad I'm going through these 67 SBD's, as there is some truly excellent blues being played.

After only 15 "and nothing's going to bring him back"s, we get what has to be the best outro solo by Jerry for this song. Possibly the best, this is #1 for me unless I hear one better.

Phil's best vocal performance and tasteful backup make this one by far the best. I like how he can make the word "flame" at least six or seven syllables.

Coltranish intensity. Keith is especially expressive here, and Jerry is driven to some very fast playing because Billy is relentless. Until about 13 minutes in, that is. This is some of that jazzy stuff that 73 and 74 are known for.
