Whoa, I can't believe this hasn't been submitted. Great vocal and four minutes of sublime outro solo. Check it out!

Phil is high in the mix. One of the best '71 versions, I believe.

Another fine 71 effort with very good sound and Phil high in the mix

The Eleven
Oct. 12, 1968
Avalon Ballroom

Does anyone know why this show has not been officially released? Is it not in the vault, or it's sonically "not good enough"? I would buy this show in a heartbeat. Comments on every song indicate there is high demand, at least for those who venture this far back in time. I mean, 2/14 is fine, but this is off the charts brilliant stuff.

Grade inflation for being the week of Cornell. Okay, but I wouldn't say top 5.

Now that wasn't too shabby, was it? Gets fierce in the last couple of minutes. The Dylan imitation tickled me.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
May 17, 1977
Memorial Coliseum

I always approach a Scarlet->Fire with some trepidation: will Donna launch to an ill-advised "faking an orgasm" vocal? Not here. Instead, she makes more gentle cooing sorts of embellshments. That aside, this is definitely top 3. I especially like the JG solo starting at the 4min mark into Fire. For me, the Mosque is not as good.
Truckin'
Dec. 31, 1972
Winterland Arena

Features a gallopin' Bill the Drummer. The best of the four NYE's Truckin's at Winterland. A friend laughed when I told him how many versions of Truckin' I have. He was obviously not clear on the jamming opportunities afforded. Excellent sound quality and separation.
