Whoa, I can't believe this hasn't been submitted. Great vocal and four minutes of sublime outro solo. Check it out!

Phil is high in the mix. One of the best '71 versions, I believe.

Another fine 71 effort with very good sound and Phil high in the mix

I was taking a class in college in the religious studies department entitled "Confucianism and Taoism" and I had to write a paper on some aspect of Taoism. I quoted Hunter's lyrics at length. I got an A. Drinking song or Taoist philosophy? Take your pick. One of the best versions, slightly edged out by 9/20.

I don't even think this is a particularly good version. It seems like everyone is pretty much going through the motions here.

Good, but 5/3 gets the nod over this one.

Keith is fantastic on this. I was hoping for more of an outro solo. Definitely one of the best of the year, if not THE best. I'll have to listen to 5/3 and 5/25 again, though.

I just listened to 2/18 and 2/21 back to back on headphones. And 2/21 is vastly superior. For one thing, first time out they seem tentative. Sure, Jerry's vocal is good and Phil's game is always on, but the rest of the band do at best a mediocre job. Then there is no Jerry solo at the end. But just a few days later the song is really coming together, although the end of the outro is a bit weird. But that version has only a few votes.
