I like 8/15 a lot, so it's hard to decide which I consider the best of '71. This one is righ up there. More folks need to listen to these quartet versions.

It's mysterious. Why aren't more of the Summer '71 China-Riders much higher? This might be my favorite, but also listen to Chicago, and especially San Diego. Basically a quartet, the guitar interaction is intense, with Phil high in the mix so you can hear the interplay with Jerry. Yes, an unfortunate edit in the 9th minute, but that should not dissuade you. This whole night is special.
