A laid back one. Phil's bass and Billy in the groove.

Everyone is on for this one. Great vocals, even by Donna. Why isn't this getting any love?

Wow. I'll have to listen to Copenhagen now. How could you improve on this? Great vocal by Pig. Some real slide action a la Duane. Check out the slide/harmonica duet before the last verse.

Is this the version on Steppin' Out? deaddisc only suggests one of the Lyceum shows. At any rate, the vocal harmonies on this are excellent. Gotta settle one old score.

Sweet. Featured on Disc 1 of Steppin' Out. JG's guitar sound here is delicious. What axe was he playing that night?

This is a slow blues that was a perfect vehicle for Pig. My KSAN soundboard copy sounds really good. This show was just two months before my first Dead show. My buddy got me really drunk standing in line outside and I determined that the only way to get out of it was to smoke an enormous amount of pot inside. Years later, a friend mentioned that a naked woman had run across the stage. Really? I don't remember that! But the show is also a complete blur.

This is on Steppin' Out. A very good pre-hiatus version (i.e. short). No disagreement on the quality of Jerry's vocal. You thought you was the cool fool. I just love this song; I never get tired of hearing it. It just ambles along here, definitively laid-back.
