Blazin' hot smokeshow of syncopated bends, slides, and hammer ons that turns the intensity up to 11

Clarence Clemons sits in for the whole show and really is a great addition. They rock this Let It Rock better than anywhere else I have heard anywhere

Very strong throughout. Excellent Weir vocals. Garcia delivers.

Diggin' in is right. First Jerry digs your grave scoop by scoop with each note he plays during the verses then he lays you down in the hole and buries you back under the dirt until you are well and truly Dead. Also: I been diggin' it. This is one diggity dank Jed.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain

This is the best Scarlet-Fire I've ever heard both in-person and recorded. 7-1-85 blows away both Copps and Cornell without a shred of doubt.

I like 7-1-85 Scarlet-Fire but this one is a rocker too.

Sorry but this is just another example of the massively overrrated 5-8-77 which some have made part of their religion. Personally, I'm an empiricist and I go with the evidence, and the evidence clearly shows that 7-1-85 is far, far superior to this Cornell version. Don't get me wrong: the Cornell version is a very nice piece of music. But 7-1-85 is far better on every dimension: better, more articulated jamming, better vocals, and better guitar tone from Jerry. Just a much more interesting version on 7-1-85 than on 5-8-77. But, hey, if you like to go along with the crowd and you think the conventional wisdom is where its at then your mileage may vary.

the vocal harmonies are tight, Jerry's got the feeling, Brent is killing the keyboards again as he was wont to do that Spring, and Phil is rockin' the bass
