This show is an absolute monster. It is indelibly etched in my brain ever since an early 80's hitchhiking trip up the CA coast. It got dark when I was between towns somewhere north of LA. I ended up bedding down on a hillside overlooking the pacific on a moonlit night, not enough dough to go to a bar, just hanging out in the middle of I did not know where, and I had a tape I had recently copied of this show and I had a Walkman and I listened to this show and I heard every note down to the depths of my soul while I watched the waves in the midnight moonlight. That was some cosmic shit. The Help-Slip-Frank, needless to say given all the very astute comments above, is mindblowing.
