Jack Straw
Nov. 10, 1973
Winterland Arena
As far as these pre-August 74 versions go, pretty darn good; certainly far better than Veneta

Not the all-time best but surely deserves to be on the list

Comes A Time
May 4, 1977
The Palladium
I can't believe this is so low on the list
New Minglewood Blues
Oct. 28, 1979
Cape Cod Coliseum
It's pretty hot until Weir doesn't let Garcia play the last solo, and then sings "T right here in New York City!"
Big River
May 4, 1977
The Palladium
This is outrageous, Jerry goes around 8 times on the second solo. He might go around as many times in Buffalo, I know he plays that solo for a while. But the leads here are better!
Mississippi Halfstep Uptown Toodeloo
May 4, 1977
The Palladium
The sound is questionable on the SBD (91970) of this, I just DLed the Seamons matrix and have high hopes. A couple two three things: This is the best show of May This 1/2 Step is just as good as Boston, and the Big River that follows is better, so the combo is even better here than it is in Boston.... The second set rules
Playin' In The Band
