Good Lovin'
Dec. 23, 1970
Winterland Arena

moberg is right on the money. At precisely 11:30 on the Miller.132343 this soapbox derby racer becomes Jerry's car. Garcia has taken over and is the driver's seat. Filthy jams ensue. The Dead perform Good Lovin' at the last 5 shows to close out '70. That's how "on fire" Good Lovin' was for this era and specific period/run. The Santa Rosa show is white hot burning globes of fire from Cryptical to the very end

Cuc, right on brother. This is hot, hot, hot. This one is full of barrrups from Jerry and bwamp bwamp bwamps from Phil. This version has that "sound" and "feel". You can hear what sound like a traffic cop in the background blowing his/her whistle. Pig's presence meant soooo much to versions like this one. Sublime combo of blues, sock hop, surf rock, garage rock, Americana, boogie, punk, psychedelic rock and much more. A tapestry to be sure

For anyone that hasn't seen this yet, watch it. Fire at 11:55. Great video. Walton's commentary is loads of fun, full of Dead lyrics. Great video. The Playin' section is perfection. Scroll down comments for set list
