Ramble On Rose
Dec. 9, 1994
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Stadium
It may be late in the game but this is a really nice Ramble on Rose. Real nice fills from Vince

Not Fade Away
April 17, 1984
Niagara Falls Convention Center
certainly among the best of the many Throwing->NFA performed. This one has loads of passion, truly dug into by the band.

Throwing Stones
April 17, 1984
Niagara Falls Convention Center
Very passionate version, Bobby sings this one like his life depends on it. Growling and spitting out this indictment on our political structure.

Uncle John's Band
March 19, 1977
Winterland Arena
The Keith Jerry intro is just sublime absolutely gorgeous stuff here. Nice mellow and beautiful leading its way ever so sweetly to the first verse, this is jammed yet delicate as only the Grateful Dead can be. Folky yet drenched in acid this is just a lovely rendition . This is the year that just keeps on giving and Donna is terriffic here magnificent. One of the best UJB I have ever heard great selection, deserves more love.
Dancin' in the Streets
June 24, 1976
Tower Theatre
This is a barn burner as they all tend to be in the 1976-77 era, VERY FUNKY lots of note bending and wah by Jerry, nice drums tons of Phil so Funky it is awesome love this stuff. Instruments are nice and up front on the SNBD with the vocals slightly lower. The drummers are definitely on in this version, sweet.
Black Peter
March 13, 1982
Reno Centennial Coliseum
Beautiful Dear Prudence tease (Not Strawberry fields as some claim) I can see Lucy but this is a dear prudence tease before it drifts beautifully into a somber Black Peter, Was this to honor John Belushi who just passed as has been suggested by some? I do not know but it is passionate and Jerry does have the old guitar crying in pain. Beautiful and heady in only a way the grateful dead can be magnificent show as a whole
Liberty
May 29, 1995
Portland Meadows
very jammy at spots, Bobby is raunchy throughout and Phil is spritely on the bass on this one. I wish i enjoyed the song more in 1995 I have grown to really appreciate it since Jerry's passing. This encore is one of those where they seemed to be enjoying it and did not want to leave the stage. It was an early starting show as was the day before.
The Other One
March 13, 1982
Reno Centennial Coliseum
This is the Dear Prudence Tease at the end of the jam, I have also heard it described as a Strawberry Fields or Lucy in The Sky Tease. It sounds Dear Prudence like to me it is brief but cool. The Other oNe though is Intense as good as 1982 other ones come when they return to the vocals Bobby now sounds even more possessed keep away from the children it may scare them, killer intensity melts into the Dear Prudence tease.
