Sloppy but a rare fun treat, wish they kept it around until they could nail it.

I always enjoyed this FOTD from what many consider the worst show ever.

I never heard of any people that preferred Brent to Keith until I started getting on internet message boards and chat rooms. All my friends and tape trading partners adored the 1970's i did have one friend that loved 89-92 the most but it was not a brent thing as that includes the bruce vince years as well. I love all eras even Vince but the Meat is surely in the Pigpen thru Keith years.

THis always gives me the chills, so from the heart from Neil Young and the Grateful Dead by way of lyrics from Bob Dylan. Wonderful tribute to Uncle Bobo. RIP Bill Graham one hell of a concert promoter. Even if he could be a little hard on the heads at times. Jerry's guitar lines just shimmer.

This is honestly was one of my favorite tapes to play. I can not even guesstimate how many times we listened to this back in the day. It is just so powerful and Hot, it cooks and bends your mind while forcing you to tap your feet. I can only imagine what the crowd thought hearing this and the following stronger than dirt for the first time. Their minds must have been blown. You can clearly hear them going absolutely apeshit on the FM broadcast of the show. Wonderful stuff a truly magical listening experience. Even better with headphones.

One of those special moments that you will never forget if you were there, It truly had a cosmic power to it , The chant was guttural and really did seem to create some sort of energy in the building. Unfortunately Bobby follows this incredibly magical moment with Chessy Answers but this moment was truly magical.

Even in the beginning it made the perfect encore or show closer, This is a heavily rocking Version with Bobby strumming and singing at a blistering fast forward rock n roll pace, Jerry really rips the solos, They are really tight on these in a good crisp way. Bobby just shouting the lyrics as Keith pounds a wonderful piano line, Bobby's guitar is very high in the mix and he is tearing it up. Very high energy. Keith and Bobby are absolutely driving this one with Jerry giving it the right amount of icing on the top. Complete with some great Bobby screams. The finale Jerry just goes nuts ripping some real hot tasty line leading to the crescendo.
