Love Brents barroom style keyboard work. Gives this a great old timey feel which really suits the song.

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Oct. 19, 1990
Internationales Congress Centrum

Awesome Jazzy Scarlet rather long for the time leads into a Fire which i only fractionally longer than the scarlet, Hornsby is on fire during Scarlet particularly early on in the song pushing Jerry along who is obviously enjoying it. Typical of the 1990 versions with a ton of stuff going on in the background on this one. The second jam in Scarlet is beautiful Hornsby and Jerry who switches on the Midi part way thru the jam. Beautiful fresh souding jam mostly Jer and bruce with some nice support from the drummers. Jerry with the midi "flute" is great and loud and clear. When he switches it off they start their move into the segue and Phil starts dropping some bombs, making us not forget his presence. Bobby makes some loud screeches announcing the arrivl of Fire as Jerry starts bubbling out the lines and the drummers are ponding out the intro. The fire scorches throughout with lots of note bending, some interesting Weir moments on rhtyhm and the drummers on top of it all the way, along with Mr. Horsby banging away on the piano. The Healy Matrix on archive sounds great with a nice ability to hear all the musicians (maybe Phil could be a touch higher).
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider

You can thank the keyboardists for making this one a heady journey, the mixture of Bruce and Vince is awesome on this one adding extra textures to the sound which seems to be pushing Jerry onward. THe rider has that extra warm feeling to the vocals that give me chills, fantastic.
