Jerry s voice is a little gruff but Healy adds a cool echo to it at times sounds great

Excellent high energy version. the crowd was really feeding off the energy of the song and vice versa. Wonderful.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
April 9, 1987
UIC Pavilion

This is a very smoking FIRE, Jerry is just nailing it his solos are fantastic and goose bump inducing, nice Phil laying down the ground work, a real stellar Fire on the Mountain with Jerry absolutely dominating it.

Love Jerry's playing here love the alternate lyrics, Bobby is spitting them out with mucho gusto. A Truly great early version. Drummers are also pounding out a real nice beat. Bobby is truly attacking the lyrics throughout. Nice keys, great overall band effort.

Not long but very HOT, Jerry comes blazing in full speed like a freaking madman, hot as hell blistering notes, the keys and drummers are right there with him Phil is laying back a little right herethen starts to emerge in the jam, Bobby comes buzzing threw the cacophany of noise, it then gets nice and quiet Phil gives a little run no bomb it gets slower bobby sings verse one a little sloppy but Jerry is just bubbling with energy behind him, they nail the coming around section very nicely, some nice little phil runs then he and Jerry take off on a hot little blistering jam, the drums and keys again showing nice accompaniment. Blistering with energy middle jam propelled by Jerry's still maniacal pace and blistering note spewing. Phil announces the second verse and Healy goes all wacky on Bobby's vocals. A short about minute and a half post verse jam leads us into a very nice Wharf Rat. If they hd comtted to more of a post verse two jam this would be a contender for best post Brent Other one. As it is it is still an incendiary beast and well worth a listen.

Wow kind of surprised this only had one vote, well now it has 2, Not a 1973-4 version but still goes to some very cool spacey places. Long for the period 15 minutes and has teases for the april fool's Dark Star that would show up the next day.
