Bob flubs some lyrics in the 2nd verse but its hot and well worth hearing regardless

Kinda silly that this wasn't here already, absolutely classic version of a great tune, also included on Bear's Choice

Without a doubt, this is by far the best version of this song and it’s not even really close. Everyone is talking about Jerry’s solo, which is one of the finest moments of his entire career, but I’d like to bring some attention to Bob’s rhythm throughout the performance. His rhythm is absolutely incredible, flawlessly adding flourishes in all of the right places with precision and gusto. One of the many examples of Bob’s genius.

There's hundreds of better versions from 72-74 but ok

This one is really outstanding, the best in my books. Dick picked it for a reason.

I agree with stealmyface, this one caves to the pitfall of sacrificing tightness for energy, a common problem with the second half of 77 and 78, arguably for the rest of their career. I think 5/22/77 and 6/14/76 are the best

Strongly believe that this is the cleanest, tightest version I've heard. All of the other May versions leave a little something to be desired at one point or another, this one is flawless all the way through
