Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad

Academy of Music

A rockin' GDTRFB sandwiched b/w two insane NFAs! Every show the dead played in 72 seemed to be another level!

Perfect version from a perfect show. What more do you need to say?
Ramble On Rose

The Spectrum

I see people saying that they aren't a big fan of this song and I can't for the life of me figure out why. Maybe they haven't heard this version :/
Playin' In The Band
Sept. 28, 1976
Onondaga County War Memorial

I for one love the intro. Gives themes of the orange tango jam they'd play in a little bit, almost a spanish/arabian vibe with tha harmonic minor phrasing. It's cool!
Playin' In The Band
March 23, 1974
Cow Palace

You know that moment 9 and a half minutes thru? That's what makes this one so pretty. Rich, intelligent and beautiful slower playing by the band. Always holds a special place in my heart, as I distinctly remember spinning this one on the drive home getting my driving license.
The Other One
May 13, 1972
Lille Fairgrounds

Such an underappreciated show. Flawless jamming, not a minute wasted and constant great ideas throughout. Give it a listen!
