Brent with a killer solo, Weir adds some slide that sounds rather decent, he's still learning I might add, but he's more developed than lets say 80', it works peaks well, and allows Garcia to step in, Garcia adds a touch of shred and a touch of blues but what really sounds cool is the backing rhythm of Brent during Garcia's solo. A song played much better by other artists, this version proves as an anomaly, very good, surprised how much I enjoyed it….

Mount Olympus Zeus, and this Morning Dew. Blissful and mellow shattering and ascending leads lift this one from ground zero to cloud nine. An Olympic rendition, fits in with all the top versions of the decade. Out of a mind bending space. Brent with his Hammond B-3 proving his worth. Eery noodling by Garcia erupting like Mt. Vesuvius into a climatic emotive ending.

Dr. Jerome you've seemed to stumble across this dynamite Help>Slip>Franklin's and posted it, and unfortunately have received little up vote. I'll hand you a vote and not because it has one but for the fact that it deserves many more. The Help is strong, disregard the small flub, and get into the fact that Garcia is playing intricately and smoothly. Then dive head-first into what is and should be known by all as one of the best Slipknots of the year (84' a good year for the suite) sounds almost like a mini 73' jam piece, unraveling and gliding along exploring the inner workings of what the song can sound like. The Franklin's, to top it all, is a light-hearterd groove at its best. The best rendition of this suite in 1984.

No Midi effects and such in this rendition. Closer to its early 70s ancestors than its contemporary 80s brothers, would take this one any day when looking for a clean and simplified version, in this case less truly does equate to "more" although there is quite a bit of nice vocal and guitar action. Marin County seemed to bring out the most of the boys, just as 3/31 the night before brings to mind. Strong run for the home-town crowd.

This is a hair-standing on end sequence, of the five Dark Stars played in 1974 this may be the best. Dave nailed it with this pick. This is in dire need of a bump in the listings.
