The Wheel
Dec. 27, 1990
Coliseum Arena

Love 1990-91 "The Wheel"'s. They played it at a tempo similar to the original studio version. More urgency and intensity to it.

Barnburner, scorcher, etc. There isn't a bad Bruce-era "Jack Straw."

Sugaree

A very strong version. Bruce and Jerry seemed to always play off each other well on "Sugaree."

New Minglewood Blues
March 16, 1994
Rosemont Horizon

Killer version from a Top 5 show from 1994. Vince and Jerry are on and Bob means every word.

Lovely.

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Dec. 19, 1993
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Arena

Agreed, this is the best "Scarlet -> Fire" I've heard from 1992-93, which overall wasn't a strong period for the combo. It's better than the absurdly ranked 9/13/93, though both don't deserve more than 10-15 votes overall.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Dec. 17, 1992
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum

The way this one is played, the rhythm or whatever, sounds more like a 1970s' "Scarlet," it has that swing, that lilt that 1977-78 versions have. Cool version.
The Race Is On
Sept. 20, 1993
Madison Square Garden

Not bad at all for a song played, what, four times since 1986? Vince does indeed crush it here.
Baba O'Riley > Tomorrow Never Knows
Sept. 20, 1993
Madison Square Garden

Vince's vocals aside, this is the best version.
He's Gone

Madison Square Garden

Sublime version.
