Beat it on Down The Line
Oct. 3, 1994
Boston Garden
"Beat It" beat it after this one. Abrupt, sloppy lead-in but the song itself is tight and enthusiastic.

Shoreline Amphitheatre
I was shocked not to see this one from the famous PPV solstice broadcast.

Soldier Field
Phil's all over this one. Really urgent upbeat version.

Hell in a Bucket
Sept. 8, 1990
Coliseum
Great opener for Vince's second show. Jerry's solos are rippin' and Bob's possessed. Nice subtle work from Vinny.

Jack Straw

Springfield Civic Center
Surprised this ain't here. Lyrically perfect (another Clive ad lib from Bobby) and Jerry kills the transition jam.

Sugar Magnolia
June 20, 1983
Merriweather Post Pavilion
This is a contender for my favorite individual Dead performance of all time. Others may be more musically interesting or technically sound, but the energy leaping out of this one is phenomenal. And Bob's rap is just icing on a very delicious cake.
Sugaree
Oct. 27, 1991
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum
My personal fave "Sugaree." It has a very mournful sound in the wake of Bill Graham's death and it just goes on and on with Jerry in fine form. This show and the Halloween one are my two favorite post-Brent shows.
