Shut your eyes and listen to the colors of your mind. This song is a guilty pleasure for me, so I've checked out quite a few, and this one is hot.

Not really the best I've heard, but Phil drops some serious bombs throughout.

An exceptional performance from a one off show in summer '78.

The best performance of this song since 1972? Jerry belts out a sweet Candyman afterwards.

Keith steps in when Jerry's guitar channel literally dies. Very nice, Mr. Godchaux.

Morning Dew

Winterland Arena

I think there are many, many strong versions of Dew throughout the years, but we can't really get much better than the '74 Dews, can we? The Year of the Dew? Epic Phil bass chords, and crystalline Garcia vocals. Wolf solos, etc. There may be one or two from the summer that compare with this, but taken in whole with the Dark Star before it, this makes for a superb Dew. The outro jamming is very cohesive and well thought out.

Can't believe this isn't higher. Jerry and Bobby do some really unique interplay here, and Jerry's solos are not standard.

Jerry's harmonies are great here.
Drums -> Space

Knickerbocker Arena

Surprised this one isn't higher. This was always a definitive version for me. "Drums" is out of this world. The birds get me every time.
He's Gone

St. Paul Auditorium

Wow, this one is all the way down here, huh. 1 vote. A 14+ minute "He's Gone" as the second song in the first set, in Feb. '73 . . . Probably nothing to see here.
