Not Fade Away
May 11, 1978
Springfield Civic Center Arena
Like most everything else from this show, this one is raucous and passionate, like all great NFAs.

Althea
March 11, 1993
Rosemont Horizon
The space in the final solo is indeed getting hot.

Franklin's Tower
Dec. 11, 1994
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Stadium
Lively version, Jerry was clearly engaged and having fun, even if his chops weren't at 100%. Love the enthusiastic vocals at the end.

The Other One
May 9, 1987
Laguna Seca Raceway
Firey, trippy version that leads into a strong Wharf Rat. The vocal effects Bobby used on this tune in '87 sometimes sound hokey, but they work here.

Wharf Rat
May 9, 1987
Laguna Seca Raceway
Intense, focused version with lots of Phil bombs. Coming out of a strong The Other One. A combo that could sometime be a post-space snooze delivers.

Day Job
Sept. 20, 1982
Madison Square Garden
Nice vocals make this version stand out
Bird Song
Sept. 29, 1989
Shoreline Amphitheatre
Wow, this one needs more love. Spacey and jagged with just the right amount of MIDI weirdness. Great era for Bird Song.
Baba O'Riley > Tomorrow Never Knows
Dec. 16, 1992
Oakland Coliseum Arena
This is actually 12/17/92 - these are bonus tracks on Dick's Picks 27 (from the following night).
Not Fade Away
Dec. 17, 1992
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum
Dick's Picks 27 bonus tracks. Love the drum sound on this release. Pumps up this NFA in the same way that it boosts Samson from Dec. 16. This song was often a throwaway in the 90s but this version is a heater.
Mexicali Blues
Oct. 11, 1983
Madison Square Garden
Just when I thought I could skip all versions of this song in perpetuity. This is blistering.
