China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Sept. 15, 1987
MSG

Classic China-Rider from a great run. 9/18/87 is legendary, but this show, and a lot of the shows from this tour, just as fantastic.

In any other month in any other year, this entire show would be considered a rip-roaring classic (which it is!!). Donna is awesome.

Raw, ragged, savage, pretty darn profound. Almost a Close Encounter out of Space... Always a gorgeous work in progress... Not the best, but....

Superb! These 2 shows are remembered for the historic Stephen, but it's far from the only highlight!!!

Best? Perhaps... Rollicks, rolls, charges full steam ahead!
Eyes Of The World

Orpheum Theatre

The jam out is listed separate on Dave's, but it's really one Eyes, and that jam is excellent! Great sandwich. Out of Other One space, back into Other One....
Comes A Time
July 17, 1976
Orpheum Theatre

Might be # 1. The outro/coda jam is so beautiful (blissful is maybe the word!) and leads to a mighty excellent sequence (fierce O1-Eyes,etc., eventually to a fantastic NFA 2nd encore...). Very different from 5/9/77, but just as powerful. I'd say it's a tie for first. I'm a huge fan of Buffalo.... But my wife and I were driving along the coast of Maine and this jam kicked in and.... Wow. Forgot how mighty it is.... Dave's 18. Overall, as great a show as any ever! One of the best of '76 without a doubt!
