Uncle John's Band
Sept. 15, 1990
Madison Square Garden

Fiery, galloping build up. Maybe this was overshadowed by the 9/19 version, but this one rips.

Stella Blue
Sept. 15, 1990
Madison Square Garden

Jerry flubs the cheap hotel, but it's OK. His guitar makes up for it. Check out last couple minutes. Builds beautifully. Just a notch below 9/19.

All Along the Watchtower

Scorching. Just flipping through the 1990 Garden run. Surprised this ain't here already. Bruce's 1st official night as a member of the band.

Awesome. David Murray starts jamming fantastically about halfway through.

The Other One

Star Lake Amphitheater

Weird one for sure. Starts as Spanish Jam, Bobby has a great notion, throws in O1 lyrics. Always good pair. Into Stellar Stella Blue-GDTRFB-Around...

Eyes Of The World
Oct. 29, 1977
Evans Field House, Northern Illinois University

If you love this, check out a few nights later, 11/4/77 (DP12, Colgate). Insane second half to this version of Eyes. Blistering!
Smokestack Lightnin'
Feb. 8, 1970
Fillmore West

Rip-roaring, snarling and savage. Right there with Bear's Choice....
Dark Star
July 25, 1974
International Amphitheater

Complete and total Slipknot in 1974! Holy mother of pearl onions, this is a great Dark Star! Into a gorgeous Stella Blue. Super strong night, especially for Bill the Drummer... Slipknot should have a listing of its own here. This is a sweet one from '74. There were a handful of Slipknot notions in '74, mostly out of Eyes, one from 6/20 is particularly awesome... Like that, this is the whole kit and kaboodle... Nice!!!
The Wheel
March 10, 1981
Madison Square Garden

Starts forming way back in deep space...
Mississippi Halfstep Uptown Toodeloo
March 10, 1981
Madison Square Garden

As train wrecks go this Half Step's a doozy!!! Something crashes and maybe explodes and it would be nice to say the boys never miss a beat, but they miss all sorts of beats and keep on playing!!! The show must go on! Eventually, it roars into a fantastic Franklin's and builds to become an amazing show, with one of the best Scarlet-Fires of the 80s!
