Good God people! This one is DRIPPING with emotion. If a SBD existed of this show it would be up top. GO RUN and See, now!

Ship of Fools

The delivery of this one...passionate vocals, the kind we so often see in '78...That said, this might be the best sung of that year

Black Peter
April 14, 1978
Cassell Coliseum - Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University

More emotive than 10/29/77, therefore better. Black Peter is quite the epic ballad and the emotion Jerry pours into this would make you believe that he was "Laying in his bed and dying".... Just listen to his vocals. Suggestion listen on headphones.;-)
Brown Eyed Women
May 21, 1977
Lakeland Civic Center

This one is definitely supercharged and juicier. It's flowing and gliding right along. Garcia's vocals are on and the band is charging steady right beneath him. Into Garcia's solo you think 20 second solo, 30 second? Okay he's extending, oh and extending! Last licks of this exhuberant then bam, back into solid singing and right into Big Foot County......

If this doesn't get you up off your ass and boogey than I don't know what will and there is no help for you!
Here Comes Sunshine
Dec. 19, 1973
Curtis Hixon Convention Hall

Here Comes Sunshine, indeed. Often think about how this song marked the beginning of an Era. This was pretty much the first track that opened the flood gates to what would become a gush of the grateful deads music from the vault. Think about what has followed from the release of this in 93 to today. Yep Dick, "Here Comes Sunshine!"
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
July 7, 1989
JFK Stadium

Watching this now and after Jer's solo you can see Mickey mouthing to Billy what I think he say's "We're hot!" They sure we're. Blazing rendition
