Stayin' Alive teases carried over from Me and My Uncle. Ballsy version

Me and My Uncle
April 24, 1978
Horton Field House - Illinois State University

Stayin' Alive tease to open and significant teases by Keith throughout. Most interesting version by far - (teases continue into a romping Big River)

Truckin'
May 9, 1979
Broome County Arena

Gigantic early peak, followed by high energy band interplay, concluded with some jacked up speedy noodling. Hard to ask for more

He's Gone

End jam has some of the best Bobby/Jerry interplay I can recall - truly incredible. Leads into a heart stopping Truckin'. Peep it

Sugaree
Dec. 28, 1979
Oakland Auditorium

This one is tricky, because the whole band is clicking and Jerry is undeniably crushing it with fiery leads up the fret board. However, Bobby's slide is so distracting to me and takes me out of those "it" moments.

Capitol Theater

Jerry initiates his leads with absolutely spine tingling, delicate flutters, then builds the peak to cathartic explosion. Gorgeous

Smoking early version of Deal. Not the face shredding '89-'90 variety, but a hot little potato all the same
He's Gone

Hofheinz Pavilion

My favorite of the early 70s. Long, airy, flowing, and beautiful. A true highlight of the Houston '72 release. Digs deep with soul

“But this version goes to 11” - shit cranks and gets to the peak fast...
