Radio City Music Hall

Best Loser you haven’t heard yet! Jerry takes the solo for an extra walk around the block! Required listening folks!

Jerry’s tone is just impeccable here! Moreover, Jerry adds a tad more umph to the soulful vocals. A standout of the era!

Big River
Oct. 21, 1973
Omaha Civic Auditorium

Blazing version, but I nominated it primarily for its placement within the context of the tasty Playin'->Half-Step->Big River->Playin' sandwich.

Universal Amphitheatre

Jerry's pipes never sounded sweeter, and Keith's barrel-house piano chops complements perfectly!

Orpheum Theatre

Deserves mention.

The Other One

High octane here.. My only quibble is that Bobby is a little to eager to come in on the verses, cutting off what could have been longer and hotter jamming. Even worse, he botches the lyrics. But no matter, the boys are tight and locked-in here, and this version still crackles with energy.

Althea

For me, 1981 is the all-around best year for Althea, and this one does not disappoint!
