Dark Star
Nov. 11, 1973
Winterland Arena

As others have said, I like the so-called scary versions as much as the jazz fusion throwdowns. This definitely belongs in the latter category and goes down pretty nice. I'm still a little more partial to the DS they unleashed in Oklahoma a few weeks before this (DP 19), but this is killer in its own right
Dark Star
Sept. 21, 1972
The Spectrum

This is the most amazing version I've heard yet. The musicianship on display is just extraordinary...I wish I could vote for this one 10 more times.
Mexicali Blues

The Palestra, U. of Rochester

Killer tempo and soloing
Lost Sailor

Richmond Coliseum

The entire show this song emanates from continues to burn every time it's played.
Mind Left Body Jam

Oklahoma City Fairgrounds Arena

This show continues to grow and reveal new layers with each listen. This MLB morphing out of Dark Stars vapor trails is simply amazing.
