Surprised to see this one not on the list. Just smokes from start to end ... killer tempo, Weir and Garcia on fire, and BRENT. Check out his solo.

Rock & roll, baby. Phil kicks this one in the nuts.

i dont get it .. but maybe im just too Brent-era oriented, with the musicianship & energy he brought, along with the bigger guitar sounds for Jerry and the 6-string monster for Phil..have heard of the legend of this one for so long ...sure its got that tight 70s sound ..but even then jerry screws up the last verse, and the transition jam is sleepy and pretty quick (Keith almost instantly begins banging out the stock B-A chords). Where's the development and exploration? Last jam is pretty firey, but overall, I consider this very overrated. To each his own, but meh

agreed -- this is amazing the solo is incredible and jerry almost blows out his vocal chords on "put you gold money" post-solo. This tops the Knick, for me.

love this version, not just for the Phil bombs. Listen to Phil all the way thru -- esp the melodic stuff he plays during "Gotta go to Tulsa", then when he switches to the driving pulse behind "Hurts my ears to listen", which sets up the solo like a roller-coaster cresting the peak. What really makes it for me is Jerry's tone jumping right into the solo -- so pure, w just the right amount of distortion, it drives the whole thing. Killer rock & roll. ps, to the guy saying Jerry's solo is mediocre, i'd ask if you are listening to the right version...

yeah, i guess just as many are, I'm biased by my era .. i just prefer the sound of the Brent era, with bigger Phil & Jerry sounds, Brent's massive keys behind everyone (despite challenged vocals.) ..these shows have energy, but everything sounds bright and a bit tinny to me. Sure Jerry's playing fast here, but its fairly sloppy for an era that has lack of sloppiness one of its main assets, IMO... also they totally blow the post-solo lyric. Give me Syracuse, Oxford or Cal Expo over this, I'd say...
