Following one of the most powerful versions of The Other One ever, this Drums is on par with the rest of the best show of 1979. The goods!

Without a doubt...THE Shakedown Street.

If only we could have every single show of 1970, in original pristine soundboard quality, restored to the vault. Can you imagine 6/24/70 sounding like 5/15/70 or 2/13/70??? Nevertheless, having the audience perspective of 6/24/70 is eye opening, to say the least. The crowd energy of the late 60s/early 70s...there’s nothing like it! Especially during Dark Star! With that being said, we’ll have to take what we have and be happy with it! Anyhoo... This whole show is phenomenal. The transitions. The song choices. And, the performance! Everything just rips! The weaving in and out of Dark Star really ties the whole set together so well. 1970 really was a landmark year for GD. Perhaps it’s the lack of quality sources that puts a slight damper on things. Being happy with what we have means listening to the aud sources and hearing through the crowd noise and mediocre quality recordings. For a 1970 aud, 6/24 is quite good! Really good. I just want to mention another really quick, which is not on here that i can find... 11/5/70 Dark Star... please give it a listen! It’s worthy and then some!

The entire sequence... “Jam > The Other One > Drums > NFA” ... one of the hottest segments of Grateful Dead that you’ll ever hear. Simply mind blowing. Along with your mind, it’ll also blow your speakers! :-)

Currently underrated !!! This is a must listen!!! Waaaaay hotter than any of the other obscure versions from 1969. The Cryptical Reprise will melt your face!!! This entire TOO suite is phenomenal!!!! Please listen to this now and bump this up, as it deserves to be rated up there with Fillmore West 69 and the other hot 1969-1970 versions.
