Following one of the most powerful versions of The Other One ever, this Drums is on par with the rest of the best show of 1979. The goods!

Listening to this one right now. Not the tightest version, but raging Phil bombs and Jerry noodles galore!!! Sickly!!!

Oh yeah, that would be Charlie Miller’s Healy board perhaps? Probably bettter than the release, indeed.

This version of Terrapin suffers from a mediocre soundboard release. I can’t even listen to the “Terrapin” official release of 3.15.90. This is one of the most powerful and epic performances ever. The best source for this is the Boyd McHugh aud. Seriously seek out that recording on the Archive and give this Terrapin a fair shake at max volume. It’s the best. Absolutely the best.

The post Terrapin jam should almost be a separate category. This particular jam is ultra fierce, with Jerry bringing some serious lightning. Actually, everyone is firing on all cylinders. The entire sequence is one of the best segments of the 90s.... Terrapin > Jam > Drums/Space > Dark Star > The Wheel > Good Lovin’.... The transition from Dark Star into The Wheel is a high point in all of Grateful Dead history. I don’t say that lightly. I realize it’s 1993, but they were still tapping into the mojo in 93. Just look at 5.26.93 Playin. There’s some fantastic material from spring & summer 93. Also see 6.5 & 6.6.93, 6.11, 6.15, 6.21, 6.25 & 6.26.93.

Was there. Very fun show! As was 9/13, which was the best of tour, IMO. This Franklins is beautiful. Crisp, focused playing by Jerry.
